Sam Allardyce
The sooner we get rid of this Nolan/Carroll lover the better.
He is a stubborn, arrogant and tactically disabled moron.

"I'm sure we are 6th highest net spenders over the last 3 seasons... I think we under sell ourselves sometimes"

Unfortunately most of that 3 years of spending went on Carroll, Maiga, Diarra and Jarvis.

It's only this year since Sullivan has intervened that transfers are back working right.....

Re: Sam Allardyce
If we get an injury to Valencia whilst Sakho is away, it's setup perfectly for the one up front scenario of last season. Can't see both Cole and Carroll playing up front.

Whilst we have done really well this season and the manager deserves some credit whether he was forced into some changes or not. It's a nice feeling to not be in a relegation scrap looking for bargains to bail us out but it would be disappointing to not build on a good first half and revert to old ways.

If we don't beat WBA then we could easily slip to 8th place with other teams on our shoulder. The league is still pretty tight and unless we keep up good form we'll lose touch and the season will end up being a flop.

CNS.
I really could not agree with you more.
However, while the kids below are having their tantrums,I would like to point out that most people who are very quick,Walcott,Bellamy are two that spring to mind and Valencia falls into this category, what happens when we have let Zarate ,whom I personally rate,go out on loan and Valencia gets injured and Carroll goes down in a heap with a season ending injury what have we left??
Oh.sorry, silly me, we've got Cole and Nolan and Vas Te.
That's ok then no problem....
Look at Citeh ,three top strikers injured and no recognised CF.
How long before it rings out.

I respect what he's done ,but he's still an arrogant ,know it all, SLOB.

Honestly we the constant investment whu has had since he has been with us I would be disappointed with anything less

I'm sure we are 6th highest net spenders over the last 3 seasons... I think we under sell ourselves sometimes

Re: Sam Allardyce
How can you argue that when he has taken us from being a relegated, penniless shambles to promotion, 10th place, 13th place and now 6th place after 2 defeats within 3 and a bit seasons.

I don't like him. I don't think he's right for WH but he has done well and is not a shit manager.

Re: Sam Allardyce
I don't know what the hell you lot are arguing over.
BFS is a shit manager and have showed us why times and times over the years.

Re: Sam Allardyce
I always like to defer judgement on players, managers and the like until they are a good way or completely through the second season. I will judge Koeman then :-) Same with Sakho and Valencia, Kouyate etc on the playing side.

BFS seems capable of getting us to the fringes of the top 6. That is good enough for me, at the moment, based on the levels of investment and where we came from 4 seasons back.

My, there's some right prima donnas on this site. They have to question everything to the nth degree. Give it a rest, and stop behaving like petty kids.

Hey Willtell, I've found the perfect solution for you mate!

Perhaps you could chat to Brucie's whilst I bugger off to the shops.

Mind-blowing, that...

Excuse me for abandoning this riveting high brow discussion to go get some shopping, won't you?

Fabrication is unwise when previous posts can be C&P for all to see.

I simply mentioned that I hadn't seen the whole of Sullivan's interview and asked another poster whether there was a specific quote regarding Sakho.

You provided a Mirror article which I questioned the reliability of. I quantified that by stating I had spoken to the agent.

At no point did I say I knew nothing about it.

That's the third time you've said that discussions with me are pointless however you keep replying and now you've resorted to making stuff up. Feel free to quit whilst you're behind.

The problem is that I understood your comments perfectly well and that you don't. There was no paradox mentioned in the paragraph where you said that SA was deliberately holding WH back. It's also what comma pulled you on too so don't lie about no-one else mentioning it.

Yeah I get that, but I'm trying to make the point that just because we don't see half a dozen blindingly obvious brilliant choices doesn't mean there aren't any.

I agree with the call about Sheringham too. Don't see the man as an out and out manager at this stage, but I can't help feeling his input into our resurgence is underestimated.

Willtell 4:39 Mon Dec 29

No.

What you actually did (third time now) is prove that you didn't understand my original comments in context.

There's nothing wrong with what I said - it's just that you didn't (and don't) understand it. It doesn't seem to be troubling anyone else... especially when taken IN CONTEXT with what the Fat One said to Goldie.

This is getting tiresome now. You'll excuse me if I don't keep responding, won't you, given your total inability to get past your blinkered view on this one?

Re: Sam Allardyce
It's always good to pick out the appointment which has seemed to be a success as opposed to the failures. For every Koeman there is a Moyes, Grant and Solskear to name but three.

It seems obvious to me that our next manager is currently in work and will have to be enticed away from his current job.

Watch Sean Dyche carefully.

Re: Sam Allardyce
ludo,
Sometimes you just have to bite the bullet. We managed to overcome 25m in fines. I think having Sherringham with a big say in how we play would be a positive.
